Her laid back style is far more accessible to us mere mortals! Boots and jeans that are perfect for running errands, floaty dresses ideal for meeting friends for a coffee and jackets that are perfect for doing the school run on a drizzly day. Although Kate’s known for her stunning gowns and chic skirt suits, it’s really fun to see her dressed down in casual outfits too. She clearly has taken inspiration from Queen, who famously wears dazzling shades so she can be picked out from the crowd. Her Majesty apparently once told a biographer that she “[has] to be seen to be believed”. Kate has a rainbow of colours in her closet: THAT famous blue engagement dress from 2011, the eye-catching candy pink-on-pink look that garnered headlines in 2020 and a yellow dress that caused William to tell Kate she looked like a banana in 2014! However, there’s one colour that Kate rarely wears: orange. Why? Nobody knows! Rumour is that Kate doesn’t believe the colour suits her. Others suggest it’s because orange doesn’t photograph well.
