Roland Mouet Origami Peplum Dress in Red

Kate Middleton owns Roland Mouret‘s Wool Origami Peplum Drape Dress—a striking red midi with the designer’s signature folded peplum detail at the waist.

The Princess of Wales debuted the dress at the Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Final on the 11th of July 2026, attending in her role as Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

It’s the second Roland Mouret dress Kate has debuted at a Wimbledon final—she first wore her emerald green cady midi at the 2023 Men’s Final.

About the dress:

The Wool Origami Peplum Drape Dress comes from Roland Mouret’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.

It’s cut from 100% wool with a smooth polyester lining, and features a V-neck, wrap-effect bodice with short sleeves and subtle shoulder pads for structure.

The dress takes its name from the origami-style folded peplum that sits at the hip—a sculptural, angular flourish that’s become a signature of the label’s draping. A slim self-belt cinches the waist, while the skirt falls to a fluted midi length with a gentle flare at the hem.

The dress fastens at the back with a concealed zip and hook closure. The fabric is non-stretch, and Roland Mouret describes the fit as true to size.

Where to buy:

Good news for anyone hoping to copy Kate—the dress is currently in the designer’s summer sale, reduced to £395 from £795 on Roland Mouret’s own site.

Over in the US, Mytheresa had it listed at $857 (down from $1,225), but it’s sold out there now, unfortunately.

Sizes were already starting to sell out on the brand’s site before Kate stepped onto Centre Court, so I’d expect the rest to follow quickly—the Kate effect and a half-price sale are quite the combination.

Kate Middleton and Roland Mouret:

The Princess has worn Roland Mouret’s designs throughout her time as a working royal—her first public appearance in the label dates back to 2011, ahead of the Canada tour, in the navy Manon dress.

Since then, she’s built a small but distinctive collection: the white Ella gown (worn in 2012 and 2013), the electric blue Nansen dress (2016), the black asymmetric neck dress (worn to the 2018 Festival of Remembrance and Prince Philip’s funeral), and the black and white Lamble gown at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in 2022.

More recently, Kate’s turned to the label for tailoring too—she owns the Axon wide-leg trousers and matching cady suits in both camel and burgundy.

About Roland Mouret:

Roland Mouret is a French designer based in London, celebrated for his intuitive understanding of the female form. He shot to fame in 2005 with the iconic “Galaxy” dress—a figure-sculpting design coveted by celebrities the world over—and has been known ever since as a master of structure, draping and silhouette.

The brand fell into administration in late 2021 and was acquired by Self-Portrait founder Han Chong, relaunching in 2022 with its focus on precise tailoring and feminine occasionwear intact.
