Kate Middleton owns the Tusting ‘Mini Holly’ bag in taupe—a petite, 1950s-inspired top-handle bag handmade in England.

We’ve spotted the Princess carrying the beige bag four times (in public) so far. First, during a visit to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire in 2021 (pictured above). Then at the England v Wales Rugby match at Twickenham in 2022 (below).

She carried the bag during a visit to Nottingham Trent University (below) for engagements to mark World Mental Health Day in October 2023, and most recently, at Wimbledon in July 2026 (below) — its first outing in almost three years.

About the Tusting Mini Holly Bag:
The Mini Holly is a petite version of Tusting’s iconic Holly bag. The company describes it as a “pretty and curvaceous” 1950s-inspired style, designed to take you from day into evening.

The bag features a finely crafted top handle, a fold-over flap with a gold turn-lock fitting, and an internal slip pocket.
A detachable shoulder strap means it can be worn crossbody—though, like most of her bags, Kate prefers to carry hers by hand.

Despite its small size (23 x 14 x 8cm), Tusting says the bag is surprisingly capacious thanks to its flared shape and hidden side snaps.
Kate’s version is crafted from full-grain Atlantic leather—a smooth, glossy finish that lets the natural richness of the hide show—and fully lined in microfibre suede.

Gold hardware and an embossed Tusting logo finish the piece. Like everything the company makes, the Mini Holly is handmade in Tusting’s Buckinghamshire workshop.
Buying Kate Middleton’s Tusting bag:
The Mini Holly remains in stock at Tusting.co.uk for £415, with free UK shipping. Tusting ships worldwide from the same site.
Kate carries the taupe colourway. The bag is offered in a rotating range of seasonal colours and finishes, including full-grain leather, Italian suede and metallic suede versions.
For an extra fee, Tusting will personalise the bag with embossed initials or a message inside.
The workshop can also help with bespoke requests like custom colours or strap lengths—and the firm’s lifetime repair service backs every bag.
Kate Middleton and Tusting:
The Princess’s relationship with Tusting actually pre-dates her royal life. She’s carried one other piece from the company—a large, sturdy luggage holdall she was first photographed with back in 2007, four years before her wedding. She was seen with the same holdall again in 2016. You can read more about that bag on Tusting’s blog.
We’ve yet to see her carry another piece from the brand, but I suspect it’s only a matter of time.
About Tusting:
Tusting is a fifth-generation family firm founded in 1875 as a tannery in Bedfordshire’s historic leather country. Today, the family designs and makes every bag at its workshop in Lavendon, Buckinghamshire.
The company has long been known as “the maker’s maker,” quietly crafting leather goods for names like Aston Martin and Church’s before building its own label. Every piece is handcrafted in England and comes with a lifetime repair service.
