What style of shoes does Kate Middleton wear?
After a decade of blogging about Kate's outfit choices, I can see a clear evolution in her style. As she's grown into her role as a working royal, her look has become more refined, polished even. This is reflected in her footwear choices.
I'd definitely say the Princess has outgrown some of the footwear styles she used to love. She's banished platform pumps, swapping them for sleeker silhouettes instead. With trousers, she'll throw on a pair of simple white sneakers instead of the weighty cork wedges she used to favour. Another style departure: strappy sandals. In the early years of her marriage, Kate would wear strappy sandals under her gowns. These days she seems to prefer unfussy single-strap designs or plain court shoes.
Kate's dropped kitten heels from her shoe line-up too. They were prevalent in her pre-royal days and very 'of the time.' I can't remember the last time we saw her wearing them.
Chunky block heels are another recent addition to Kate's shoe closet. A rare sight until around 2017. Now, she wears them on repeat. Ditto with ankle/Chelsea boots. Easy to wear, on-trend and chic. Kate's added several pairs to her shoe collection over the last four years.
