On 6th February 2017, William and Kate attended a conference hosted by The Guild of Health Writers.
The conference was supported by Heads Together, the mental health campaign spearheaded by William, Kate and Harry.
The conference focused on mental health and anxiety. Guest speakers included Paul Farmer, the Chief Executive of Mind and marathon runner taking part in the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon for Heads Together, who spoke about his personal experience of anxiety.
During the visit, William and Kate met with members of the Guild of Health Writers, members of the media and leaders of mental health charities.
Prince William gave a short speech before the couple listened to presentations. In the speech, William set out his ambitions for the Heads Together initiative and explained how important it is to end the stigma around mental health. You can watch the full speech below, or click here to read it online here.
Kate’s outfit:
Kate chose a purple jacket and skirt from Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2015 collection.
Both pieces were made in Italy from a wool blend fabric. They were available to purchase at ModaOperandi.com for $2,190 (jacket) and $1,290 USD (skirt).
The jacket features a pointed collar, dual breast pockets and a pleated flared hem. The skirt is described as having a “full shape with box pleating”.
If you read my blog post about Kate’s visit to Mitchell Brook Primary School earlier in the day, you’ll recognise all of her accessories, she wore/carried them all for the evening event too.
Kate carried her Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag –
Her Mappin & Webb Empress earrings –
Her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch –
Her Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps in black suede –

Interesting that at the morning’s event Catherine chose to accessorize the suit with a black belt that she removed prior to the later engagement.

I’ve noticed that Catherine likes to wear hosiery, sheer and opaque. Do you know what brand she prefers? Thanks, Will
