Kate Middleton in cobalt blue dress for 2025 Wimbledon Men’s Final

The Princess of Wales Attends Centre Court in Style

Kate Middleton attended the Wimbledon Championship’s Men’s Final today at the All England Club in London.

Dressed in a striking cobalt blue dress by Roksanda, which featured a statement ruffle at the shoulder, the Princess of Wales looks polished yet relaxed for the summer finale. We were also delighted to see her straw hat make a return this year. Click to skip to outfit details ⬇

The Princess returned to the Royal Box for the second day running, having watched Poliand’s Iga Swiatek take the Ladies’ title on Saturday. That match lasted just under an hour.

Today, she watched Italy’s Jannik Sinner play against Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz—the two best men’s players in the world at the moment.

Sinner defeated Alcaraz, the defending champion, winning the competition for the first time in his career.

Alcaraz and Sinner played against each other in the French Open just 35 days ago, with Alcaraz leaving as the victor. It was the longest French Open final in history, lasting for five hours and 29 minutes.

Thankfully, the tennis didn’t last as long today: the pair battled on the courts for just over three hours.

Having attended the Ladies’ Final solo yesterday, Kate made today a family affair, arriving with William, George, and Charlotte in tow.

The children looked impeccable as always — George sharp in a navy suit, Charlotte sweet in a cream ruffled dress — while William kept it classic in a navy blazer and cream chinos.

Before play, the family met players, officials, guests and even British naturalist Steve Backshall as part of Kate’s patron duties.

Here’s the Princess about to take her seat:

Here, the Princess applauds as the players walk onto the court:

Charlotte sported pink nail polish today:

The entire family wore their sunglasses as the sun shone:

After the match, Kate walked onto the court, briefly meeting the ball boys and girls who’d assisted today.

She then presented the winner’s trophy to Sinner, beaming:

Kate’s passionate about tennis, and her love of the sport is well-documented.  The Princess has been a regular at Wimbledon since she married Prince William in 2011 and rarely misses the occasion.  This is her 27th appearance since joining the Royal Family.

To date, she’s only missed the championship’s final once, while pregnant with Prince George in 2013.  In an interview for Our Wimbledon, a BBC documentary that aired in 2017, Kate revealed that she was advised by doctors not to attend.  She’ll have been disappointed to have missed Andy Murray’s historic win—he defeated Novak Djokovic to become the first British man to win the final in 77 years.  Prince George was born two weeks later.

A quick behind-the-scenes shot, before we turn to what you’re really here for—the fashion!

Let’s break down the striking look.

Kate’s Outfit at Wimbledon Today:

To the Wimbledon Men’s Final, the Princess wore a custom-made dress by Roksanda. Here we show the Princess side-by-side with the designer’s Alma dress:

And Roksanda’s Miral dress is shown below, which has the same V-neckline as Kate’s dress.

Also note the curved panels on the bodice and skirt on both the Miral and the Alma dresses—Kate’s frock has this feature too.

Kate’s dress is closest to the Miral. Kate’s dress had added sleeves, a frill detail on the shoulder, darting on the bodice and a belt at the waist. The skirt is also slightly longer with a straight hem.

Kate’s dress is two-tone. The panel on the hip is a blue-green colour—this isn’t obvious in a lot of photos due to lighting. But you can really see it in the picture below:

Kate’s dress is a bespoke commission, but for an idea of price, the Miral retailed for £1,295 at Net-A-Porter before entering the sale at 50% off.

The Princess debuted her first Roksanda dress back in 2011—she’s worn a handful of dresses by the designer since.  In fact, Kate’s vivid blue dress today reminded me of the vibrant yellow dress she wore in Jamaica back in 2022, and then at Wimbledon a few months later:

Established in 2005, Roksanda is a London-based fashion label founded by Serbian designer Roksanda Ilinčić. The brand is known for its modern, feminine designs, characterised by bold colours, sculptural shapes, and innovative use of fabrics.

I’m sure some of you would like to learn more about Kate’s straw hat. It’s an L.K. Bennett piece, it’s the company’s ‘Saffron’ hat.

The hat features a wide floppy brim and a round crown encircled by a black ribbon. It is made from natural woven straw.

The Princess debuted the item in 2022 during the Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Finals.

L.K. Bennett stocked the hat as of 4pm this afternoon, but that’s no longer the case, I’m afraid. The £69 hat is now sold out.

I spotted Kate’s new Anya Hindmarch tote in one photo today—the Princess debuted the bag at yesterday’s Ladies’ Final. It’s the Neeson Tote by Anya Hindmarch. Kate carries it in the colour ‘chalk.

The bag is crafted from Capra leather and features a handy d-ring suspended from a leather tab on the side.  Look closely and you’ll find Anya Hindmarch’s signature bow design woven onto the front.  The bag’s handles are adjustable for the perfect fit over your shoulder.

Want to buy the tote? It’ll set you back £950. Find it at AnyaHindmarch.com.

Kate is no stranger to Anya Hindmarch—she has several of the designer’s handbags in her wardrobe.  The Neeson tote joins the Maud clutch in black satin, the Maud clutch in white satin, a woven bag shaped like a fan, a sparkling gold box clutch and a red lizard print clutch (off the top of my head, there may be more!)

Anya Hindmarch founded her business in the late 1980s, and it’s since grown into a global brand.  The British designer is known for her quirky accessories and playful designs.  Anya places sustainability at the heart of her business—something we know Kate aligns herself with when it comes to fashion.  You might remember the I’m NOT A Plastic Bag campaign from 2007?   The project raised awareness of the enormity of single-use plastic going to landfill. This was a bag designed by Anya in collaboration with Antitode and the global social change movement, We Are What We Do (now known as Shift).

After thousands of people queued to purchase the tote from Sainsburys (80,000 on launch day), the project garnered huge press coverage globally, ignited the debate around the use of plastic bags and contributed to the eventual decision to charge for plastic bags in the UK.

Kate’s sunglasses were another item ‘repeated’ from yesterday’s Ladies’ Final. They’re by Ralph Lauren.

The ‘Ralph’ Cat’s Eye Sunglasses are crafted from a lightweight polyamide which repels water. They have classic tinted lenses. Kate wears the ‘Black Havana‘ style.

Want to buy the sunglasses, you’re in luck. They’re widely available and pretty accessable, price wise. Ive found the sunglasses in stock at Opticians Direct for only £65 and Vista Expert for £69. They retail for about £90 almost everywhere else.

The Princess is no stranger to Ralph Lauren; she’s turned to the brand for numerous engagements over the last 14 years, from patterned blouses to heeled boots to smart knits.

Ralph Lauren needs very little in the way of introduction—the iconic American fashion house is known for its timeless, all-American aesthetic—crisp tailoring, classic shirting, and a polished mix of preppy and equestrian influences.

Let’s look at Kate’s earrings now. The Princess wore her Cartier Trinity earrings for the second day running. The design comprises three small intertwined hoops in yellow, rose, and white gold.

According to Selfridges.com, each metal carries a symbolic meaning: rose gold for love, yellow for fidelity and white for friendship.

Need a pair in your jewellery box? They retail for £3,050 at Selfridges.

Kate debuted the earrings earlier this year, in January, and this is the fifth time we’ve seen her wear them in public to date.

Kate’s a fan of Cartier and owns five items from the French brand’s Trinity collection.  We’ve spotted her in three pairs of earrings and two necklaces in total.  Her sapphire and diamond ring and stainless steel watch are also from the company.  Oh, and let’s not forget her iconic wedding tiara! That was a Cartier gem, too.

Cartier is one of the world’s most prestigious jewellers.  Founded in Paris in 1847, the Maison is known for its elegant timepieces and iconic designs—from the Love bracelet to the Panthère motif.

Yesterday, Kate took a high-low approach to accessorising, wearing an affordable/accessible bangle from Halcyon Days. Today, she went for the opposite approach, wearing a gold and diamond necklace from Daniella Draper. RRP: £3,375.

The brand confirms the Princess wore their Gold 8 Diamond Luxury Forever pendant on a handmade, chunky chain.  (The pendant is usually sold with a more delicate chain). Thanks to Ellie and Natasha for the ID.

Kate’s new necklace is made from recycled solid 9ct yellow gold and has been hand-set with eight sparkling diamonds.

Daniella Draper say diamond is the “stone of invincibility”, that “brings strength to its wearer, while symbolising light, commitment and purity”.

It can be purchased with the thinner ‘trace’ chain at DaniellaDraper.com, but it may take up to 2 weeks to be made and dispatched.

The gold circular necklace is the latest addition to Kate’s jewellery box—it’s the eighth piece of jewellery Kate owns from the company, making the brand a rising favourite.  In addition to this piece, she’s been spotted wearing two pairs of gold earrings and five other necklaces from the company.

Draper’s brand’s become known for it’s handcrafted, sustainable designs that have an organic, almost rugged charm.  Although luxurious and meticulously crafted, her pieces often have a sort of ‘low-key’, lived-in feel.

Let’s finish with the Princess’s shoes. They’re by Ralph Lauren, the Celia pumps in ‘Gold’.

The elegant gold-brown shoes feature a sharp pointed toe and a 4” heel.  They have a padded, branded leather insole and they’re made in Italy.

The exact style is no longer available to buy, though FarFetch do stock the Celia in cognac—I think it’s a slightly darker brown. Ralph Lauren has Kate’s shoe in black leather.

That’s all for today—do let me know in the comments which Wimbledon outfit you preferred. Are you team white or team blue?

That dress does nothing but make Catherine look so skinny. And doesn’t Charlotte have any dresses that aren’t white with blue edging or blue with white edging?

The neckline and use of two different fabriks seems a close match to the Miral design, also by Roksandra?

The first thing I thought was how skinny she appears. Her bones through the dress and her arms are skeletal. Poor thing I hope she is okay!
