Kate Middleton the New Balance Vazee Transform Trainers in black and red.
The running shoes—or sneakers if you’re American—were part of a special limited-edition collaboration between New Balance and Sweaty Betty.
Kate first debuted the trainers in February 2017, at a marathon training session with Heads Together at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London (shown above).
She wore them to her second public engagement later in the year, in November 2017. For a third time in March 2020 and for a fourth in September 2021. We’ve not seen them since—I wonder if she’ll bring the sneakers back for a future sporty engagement?
About the New Balance Vazee Transform trainers:
At the time, the Vazee Transform was a staple design in New Balance’s offering. The company teamed up with Sweaty Betty to produce this limited-edition design. They were exclusive to SweatyBetty.com and Sweaty Betty stores on the high street.
The shoe mixes fashion-forward prints (something Sweaty Betty is known for) with New Balance’s technical expertise. The result is a trainer that’s lightweight, well-cushioned and technical. The Vazee Transform is built for fast, lateral movements. It also features a foam cushioned midsole to absorb impact.
The official style Kate wears is Majorelle Garden Print in Black (code WX77SB).
