On 9th June 2011, William and Kate attended their first event as a married couple. They were guests of honour at the 10th-anniversary ARK Gala.
Ark is an international charity that transforms children’s lives. Tickets cost £10,000 and the gala is held in an elaborate marquee on Perks’ Fields behind Kensington Palace. The annual gala dinner has raised over £160 million for the Ark charity since 2002.

Kate stunned in a sequinned pink dress by British fashion designer, Jenny Packham.

Jenny Packham acknowledged Kate wore her dress. She released the following statement on her Facebook page:
The Duchess of Cambridge attended the Annual Ark Charity Gala tonight wearing an ethereal gown by Jenny Packham. The Duchess selected the pearlescent rose sequin gown with Swarovski crystal from the SS11 catwalk collection.
Back in 2011, you could buy the gown from MyTheresa.com. It was available for £2,685. Here’s how the company described the piece:
Layered mesh inserts at neckline, shoulders and sleeves. Hidden side zipper with hook-and-bar top closure. Fully lined with mesh spaghetti-strap dress lining.
Kate paired the dress with a rose pink sandals. They’re the L.K. Bennett Agata style. They’re made from suede fabric and feature a bow detail on the side.
Kate carried a coordinating clutch bag in a darker shade of pink. It’s the Prada ‘Raso’ style. The box clutch features gold hardware and Prada’s signature logo.
Finally, Kate wore a pair of earrings from Links of London. They’re from the Effervescence collection. They’re the Bubble Drop style. The sterling silver earrings feature Lavender iolite stones.

The dress is stunning and, even more important, she’s immaculate as always… awww… It would be even better when neater pictures are published! Can’t wait! Any idea about the clutch?
There are neater pictures already on Getty but I can’t afford to licence them and I don’t steal them like other people do!

Yes, stunning is the word! I saw an article in the Daily Mail saying she looks better than all of the other ‘Stars’ at the event – and they’re right, they’re not even comparable!!
