This morning (16th October 2017), William, Kate and Harry made a surprise appearance at a children’s event at Paddington Station in London. It was an unscheduled engagement for Kate, who is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (severe vomiting during pregnancy) according to Palace officials.
The trio met with 130 children nominated by The Charities Forum, a group of 30+ organisations that William, Kate and Harry are Patrons of or involved with.
Many of the children nominated are going through difficult times in their lives.
William, Kate and Harry met with the cast and crew from Paddington 2, a film that will be released in the UK next month.
The film’s production company, StudioCanal, organised the event along with BAFTA Kids.
Kate showed off her moves during the event, dancing with Paddington on the station’s platform.
Here’s a short video of Kate dancing:
The three royals also rode on a train with the children and representatives from the charities.
Kate’s outfit:
Kate chose a peachy pink dress with raised floral detailing and black trims.
It’s by Orla Kiely and it’s the designer’s Raised Flower Fitted Dress.
The dress features a knee-length pencil skirt, bracelet-length sleeves, a boat neckline, a scoop back and black bow belt. It originally retailed for £139. The dress is from Orla Kiely’s autumn/winter 2013 collection and is no longer available for purchase.
Kate debuted a new pair of shoes for the surprise engagement. They’re black suede with a block heel. They’re by Tod’s (Thank you to Giulia and Michelle for the ID).
Kate carried her trusty Mulberry Bayswater clutch in black suede. Kate has carried this clutch bag for years and owns it in three different colours.
The clutch pictured above is black leather. Kate carries in black suede. Sadly, Mulberry no longer stock the clutch bag. If you like the style, you can still find it on eBay in multiple colours. Or, try Mulberry’s Darley clutch if you’re looking for something similar.
In the photo above, you’ll also spot Kate’s Cartier Ballon Bleu watch. The wristwatch is made from stainless steel and features a blue cabochon on the face. She’s worn this regularly since around 2012.
Finally, Kate’s chose a familiar pair of earrings for the event. They’re by Kiki McDonough. They’re the designer’s Classic Cushion Drop earrings in pink morganite. Kate also owns this item in multiple colours.
Kate’s owned the earrings since 2015. The pink morganite stone is set in 18ct white gold. The earrings retail for £3,000 on the designer’s website.
