On Saturday the 14th July 2018, Kate attended the Ladies Wimbledon Final with sister-in-law Meghan.
It was the two duchesses’ first public appearance together without their husbands.
Prior to play, the two women met with ball boys and girls.
They also met with some of the club’s wheelchair competitors and junior players.
Of course, Kate is the Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the venue of the Wimbledon Championships.
It’s likely that Meghan attended the ladies final to support her good friend Serena Williams.
Unfortunately, Meghan didn’t see her friend win the championship. The American Tennis star lost to German player Angelique Kerber. It was Ms. Kerber’s first Wimbledon title.
Kate wore a bespoke dress by British designer Jenny Packham. The dress features a knee-length skirt, cap sleeves and ruffled detailing at the shoulder and waist. Black polka dots decorate the dress cream fabric.
The Duchess paired the dress with a handbag we’ve not seen before. It’s by Dolce & Gabbana.
Specifically, it’s known as the Miss Sicily style (still available for purchased at FarFetch.com). It looks cream in photos but the official colour name is ‘rosa’. It crafted from calf leather and features a top handle, removable crossbody strap, foldover top with clasp and logo plaque. Thanks to Heaven on Twitter who quickly identified the bag.
The bag coordinates with Kate’s ‘praline ‘coloured shoes by Gianvito Rossi. The Duchess owns the pumps in a number of colours; they’re clearly a favourite of hers. Although she’s owned the shoes for a couple of years, they remain in stock at Net-A-Porter.com.
Finally, Kate accessorised with her In2Design Baroque Pearl Drop Earrings.
The baroque pearl earrings are finished with a gold fill wire. Each pair of earrings is unique as the pearls all vary in shape and size. They’re available from in2designing.com for $152 USD.
