In early February 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) visited Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London for a marathon training session with Heads Together. For the sporty occasion, she chose a pair of New Balance Vazee Transform running shoes in a limited edition colour that’s exclusive to Sweaty Betty.
About Kate’s New Balance Vazee shoes:
Sweaty Beaty and New Balance teamed up to produce this particular style of Vazee Transform. The shoes are exclusive to SweatyBetty.com and Sweaty Betty stores on the high street.
The shoe mixes fashion-forward prints (something Sweaty Betty is known for) with New Balance’s technical expertise. The result is a shoe that’s lightweight, well-cushioned and technical. The Vazee Transform is built for fast, lateral movements. It also features a foam cushioned midsole to absorb impact.
You can see the print a little more clearly on the back of the shoe:
The official style name worn by Kate is Majorelle Garden Print in Black (code WX77SB).
Where to buy Kate’s New Balance shoes:
The red and black shoes were exclusive to Sweaty Betty. They cost £90 GBP / $145 USD / $150 AUD / €110 EUR.
Sadly, the company no longer sell the shoes.
However, you can buy the trainers in other colours (see below).
New Balance Vazee Transform in other colours:
The New Balance Vazee shoes can be purchased in a range of other colours, which means you’ll find the perfect shade to match your workout gear! Plus, some of the other colours are much cheaper! Check out our widget below:
