Trooping the Colour
Trooping the Colour is a celebration held in June each year to officially commemorate The Queen’s birthday. The celebration is also known as The Queen’s Birthday Parade.
The Queen’s actual birthday is 21st April, but it has long been traditional to celebrate the Sovereign’s birthday publicly in the summer. This is because good weather is more likely.
