After pretty much deciding that Kate was going to stay in her blue lace Erdem dress all day, she goes against all our expectations and changes!
Kate’s outfit:
Kate attended the community event at Forts-de-Levis wearing a nude-coloured dress from Joseph and her trusty L.K. Bennett Sledge2 shoes. Upon departing from Quebec for Charlottetown, Kate had changed shoes and had donned a pink jacket with a check trim. Read on for all the details:
Kate’s Dress:
The champagne coloured dress worn by Kate is called the “Vanessa”, it is by Joseph. The designer was Moroccan-born but based in the UK. Thanks to WhatKateWore for IDing the dress SO quickly!
The dress was available at My-Wardrobe and ShopBop.com, but unfortunately it sold out quickly.

Kate’s shoes:
Kate originally wore her nude L.K Bennett shoes, but later changed into another pair of nude-coloured shoes on her arrival at Charlottetown (we think just to confuse us!) At first I exclaimed rather excitedly that they were a pair of Rupert Sanderson Winona shoes, but alas, they’re not.
I think the nude heel is a very close match, and Rupert Sanderson themselves say that the shoe is “very similar” to the one Kate is wearing. If you fancy snagging a really similar pair (and by a designer Kate has worn in the past) They’re still in stock on the MyTheresa website. A great alternative for Kate fans whose wardrobe requires a nude heel.
Kate’s Jacket:
After hunting around for ages looking for a pink check tweed jacket Kate wore later in the day, we have decided it’s probably an old jacket by one of Kate’s favourite brands. What Kate Wore tweeted the following:

Kate’s Jewellery:
Kate wore her Links of London “Effervescence Bubble Stiletto” earrings, which she also wore recently to the ARK charity Gala. I believe Anna gave us an early ID on the earrings (I hear she’s a massive fan of Kate’s Links of London jewellery!) So thank you for that.
The earrings are now sold out in both the US and the UK.
Kate’s handbag:
Thank you to Anna and Libby who reminded me that I forgot to write about Kate’s handbag! Of course, loyal Kate followers will recognise this handbag from Epsom. It’s the straw ‘Natalie’ clutch by L.K. Bennett.

Why does Duchess Kate always carry a handbag at official functions? We all know she does not pay for anything. It seems silly to me and it seems to get in her way on walkabouts. I’m sure someone in her entourage could carry anything she needs. It’s not like she needs anything in it while in public. Mrs. Obama never carries a purse/handbag at official functions so we get to see all of her outfit, not some purse cluched in front of her!!
For years, I’ve always thought it silly to see the Queen with her handbag.
I think she carries a clutch because she needs to have something for her hand(s) to do as she is in the public eye and on walkabouts. If it were me, I would feel comforted, less nervous, if I had a small clutch in one hand.
She would look awkward with a shoulder bag, which would change the clean line of her dresses and silhouette.
I think the clutch bag she uses are terrific – very elegant.
She arrived in Charlottetown PEI wearing this same nude dress with a jacket . Anyone know who designed this jacket?

Great update! I know this isn’t the same as Kate’s jacket (worn over the Joseph dress), but I liked it and thought it might be a suitable substitute – what do you think?

Also, I’m betting Kate will wear these shoes again at some point during the tour (she can’t have just brought them to wear for a couple of hours, mostly out of sight of the public – that would be extravagant and un-Kate-like!) – perhaps for an evening function with a pale pink/nude/ivory evening dress… Time will no doubt tell
