Today, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) officially opened the Exhibition Road Quarter at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The Exhibition Road Quarter provides a new entrance to the museum, the UK’s first porcelain tiled public courtyard and a purpose-built gallery for temporary exhibitions. It’s the V&A’s largest architectural project in 100 years and it’s created new public areas and gallery spaces for London.
Kate’s outfit:
For the event, Kate chose a black and ivory tweed mini dress by Gucci.
The cotton-blend tweed dress is trimmed with red and navy blue grosgrain ribbons and featured faux pearl embellishments.
At the time of hitting publish, the dress can be purchased from a number of retailers, including Gucci.com, Net-A-Porter and Harvey Nichols. The dress retails for £1,790 GBP / $2980 USD.
Kate paired with her L.K. Bennett Art pumps (first worn in 2011).
She wore her Annoushka Pearl Drop Earrings with Kiki McDonough hooks.
She carried a new red clutch bag – ID currently unknown.
Shirley says
There’s something about my Duchess. I rarely look for the brand name as much as I observe how she is wearing the outfit. The Duchess is always well put together and she make all designers look good.
