The Prince and Princess of Wales returned to Southport this morning.

The pair wanted to show their ongoing support to the community following the devastating knife attack that took place last July.

The knife attack took place during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class and claimed the lives of three young girls, Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe King and Elsie Dot Stancombe, which led to riots and unrest.

Today, the couple visited Farnborough Road Infant and Junior School, where eight-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe had been a pupil. Here, the pair spoke with teachers about how the tragedy had impacted the school community.

Later, William and Kate had a private meeting with Elsie Dot’s parents and younger sister.

This is the couple’s second visit to Southport following last year’s attack. The pair visited the town in October to pay their respects and show solidarity with the grieving community (below).

At the time, they met with emergency responders, local leaders and members of the public, offering comfort and listening to stories from those directly affected (pictured below).
