Pride of Britain is an initiative started by The Mirror in partnership with TSB. It celebrates the achievements of truly remarkable people who make the world a better place.
Pride of Britain winners are from all walks of life, of all ages and live all over the country. They’re all nominated by the public too.
During lockdown, we joined people up and down the country to applaud the NHS and our key workers each week. Their hard work still goes on and we remain indebted to them for all that they do. It is fitting that we are here today at Britain’s oldest hospital to thank and celebrate our NHS staff and to honour them with a Pride of Britain award.Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
