In 2012, Kate joined the Royal Family for her second Trooping the Colour ceremony, a special celebration that marks the Queen’s birthday. Kate travelled in the procession with Camilla, both ladies looked elegant in blue:
The Queen wore a canary yellow outfit. You may recognise it from Kate and William’s wedding in 2011. Here we take a look at The Queen (left) and a picture of Kate laughing with Prince Philip on the balcony during the traditional Royal Air Force flyover (right):
About Kate’s outfit:
Kate wore a pale blue dress by Canadian designer Erdem for the ceremony. The dress was a bespoke design, made especially for Kate. It featured a distinctive rolled, scooped neckline and pale embroidered flowers stitched into the material. You can see this detail better in the photo below:
With her blue Erdem dress, Kate wore a hat by milliner Jane Corbett. Meanwhile, she held a plain grey suede clutch bag. The bag appears to be by Alexander McQueen, but modified without the skull charm on top.
Finally, Kate completed her look with her beautiful Links of London Effervescence Bubble Stiletto earnings.
