24th March 2022—William and Kate left Jamaica for the third and final leg of their Caribbean Tour. The Duchess selected an emerald green dress for her departure, a nod to her host country—the colour is in their flag 🇯🇲 (as usual, I’ll list outfit details further down the page ⬇).
William and Kate toured the Caribbean to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year—it’s been 70 years since her accession to the throne. Click here to see all of Kate’s tour outfits.
Kate’s green dress & accessories:
The Duchess chose a green dress by Emilia Wickstead for her official departure from Jamaica.
It’s a modified version of the designer’s ‘Denver’ green dress. It’s made from an emerald-coloured cotton-polyester blend crepe fabric that’s been woven with a cloqué puckered texture.
Kate’s added slightly puffed cap sleeves and darts at the bust of her bespoke dress. The ready-to-wear version is sleeveless. Both the ready-to-wear and Kate’s versions of the dress feature a mid-length pleated skirt, precise darting on the bodice and waist and a round neckline.
The Duchess wore the green dress on a previous occasion: to watch the Wimbledon Women’s Finals in 2021.
Kate debuted a new pair pumps while departing from Jamaica. She paired the frock with beige-coloured suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi. They’re the 105 Gianvito style in the colour ‘Bisque’. Kate’s clearly a fan of this shoe, she owns nine or ten pairs in varying colours and heel heights.
Kate’s earrings were more familiar to those of us who follow her style. They’re the Kiki McDonough Classic Cushion Drops in Citrine.
The earrings are crafted from 18ct yellow gold and set with a cushion-cut citrine gemstone. Kiki McDonough sell the beautiful earrings for £800 (hoop sold separately).
Note: the Duchess usually suspends the yellow gemstone earrings from a diamond-encrusted hoop. However, she opted for a plain gold hoop on this occasion.
Finally, wore wore a Hummingbird brooch on her green dress. The spectacular piece belongs to her dress belongs to the Queen.
More on the piece from People:
Kate accessorized a green dress by Emilia Wickstead with the Queen’s hummingbird brooch, which was gifted to the monarch by the people of Jamaica when she visited in 2002 in celebration of her Golden Jubilee.
