But those earrings!
Hi Carly! I love your site. To-the-point, efficient, well researched; and interesting, positive chatter. LOVE Duchess of Cambridge’s style. On a few archive comments, you’ve asked whether we like that she wears something like Princess Diana wore (e.g. the Pakistani tour). Actually, although I loved Diana the Princess of Wales, I think (mainly from reading Hello Magazine: I’m stuck down in South Africa, way down away from where your action is!) that Catherine’s style is better than Diana’s. She is almost always incredibly elegant. I think there have been two ever pictures I didn’t really like, both early in her marriage, one of them when she was definitely trying to copy a style that suited Amal Clooney (it didn’t really suit her, luckily she stopped trying to copy and went on to refining her own style). In the beginning, Diana was inclined to overly frilly and fluffy; and in the end, sometimes a bit too short and body-con for a Princess. A bit tarty. Catherine is never tarty. She’s the epitome of ladylike, refined elegance . Very smart in this Windrush Day suit! It’s interesting you say the earrings are “Regency” style. I think they looked a bit Aztec, a bit South American, rather appropriate for Windrush, in fact.
I think I’ve managed to switch off a cookie, as I haven’t received a Sunday update since the mint=green garden party dress, before the 70th Jubilee celebration weekend. How do I reconnect?
