For everyday wear, Kate will tend to opt for something pretty, fuss-free and elegant. A small colourful gemstone suspended from a hoop, for instance. But she isn't afraid to pull out the big guns if an event warrants it. She's happy to make a statement in rubies or grab headlines in an oversized hammered metal design.

I'd say that her style has evolved over the last ten years. She used to wear a lot of white gold and platinum designs. She seems to be adding more gold and gold vermeil into her collection now.
