In October 2020, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) started wearing a pair of faux-pearl earrings by Simone Rocha. She first publicly debuted the earrings in a video filmed for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards. She’s worn the earrings during nine public engagements so far. Most recently, for Holocaust Memorial Day in January 2021.
About the earrings:
The earrings feature round faux pearls attached to chunky gold-tone metal curb-chain links.
Chunky curb-chain links bring a confident note to Simone Rocha’s gold-tone metal earrings. They’re adorned with round faux pearls – one of the designer’s signatures – and finished with post-back fastenings to hold them safely in place. Wear them above a ruffled cardigan for a contemporary take on opulent codes.

Buying the earrings:
The faux pearl and gold earrings retailed for $310 at matchesfashion.com. Unfortunately, they’d now sold out. (Try eBay?)
Faux pearls are one of Simone Rocha’s signatures! They feature throughout the designer’s earring collection. I’ve added a few to the widget at the bottom of this page.
Kate wearing Simone Rocha earrings:
Kate first wore a pair of earrings by Simone Rocha in 2017, during an engagement in Berlin, Germany. The Duchess wore a pair of red crystal drop earrings by the Irish designer.
