The Princess of Wales has shared the latest video in her Mother Nature series.

Released across Kensington Palace’s social channels on Saturday, the gentle short film titled ‘Autumn’ follows a group of pupils from Farley Junior Academy in Luton as they cook, explore and connect with nature in Windsor Great Park.
You can watch it below:
At the heart of the video, the third in the series, is a simple, reflective message about embracing change, letting go, and finding clarity through nature.

Kate joins the children as they plate food, gather around a fire and learn outdoor cooking skills from chef Gill Mellor.

The two-minute film, shot by Will Warr, blends scenes of crackling bonfires and woodland cooking with sweeping cinematic shots from across the UK, including Northern Ireland’s Long Meadow Cider, Mallon Farm, and the golden beech avenues of Windsor.

One scene shows the Princess crouched beside the grill as the group cooks flatbreads over the flames.

In another, she sits on a tree stump in conversation, with a bowl on her lap.

‘Go Beyond’ supported the activity day, the charity provides outdoor experiences for children facing difficult circumstances.

Alongside the video, a note read:
Autumn – a season of reflection, growth and deeper connection. Embrace the beauty found in change, as we prepare for winter’s rest.
The Princess signed the message with her initial, C.

The short film is threaded with Kate’s own narration:
As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into Autumn. This is a season for reflection and refinement.
Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter, just as we too learn to let go of what is no longer needed. Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds, we can find clarity and purpose in what matters most. Encouraging us to simply to pay attention and listen.
With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there is beauty to be found in change, impermanence and in letting go. These are the natural cycles of life. Whilst the blossoms fall and the colours fade, the roots grow deeper. Stronger. Let love be root that holds us, the light that guides us, with hope, through change. Endure.
The message mirrors the theme of the wider ‘Mother Nature’ series, about finding calm, clarity and connection through time spent outside.

The video series shares quarterly instalments that explore a different season and the emotional rhythm it brings—from spring’s renewal to summer’s growth and autumn’s quieter note of letting go. There’s just one final instalment to go—Winter—which I expect the palace will post in Jan/Feb 2026.
The films emphasise Kate’s longstanding message on mental health: that spending time outdoors, especially in childhood, is great for mental health and builds resilience, confidence and a deeper sense of connection.
Let’s move on to discussing Kate’s outfit in the video now.
Kate’s outfit:
For the latest edition of her Mother Nature series, the Princess chose a relaxed, outdoorsy look.

The practical, warm outfit was perfectly suited to the autumn day in the woods with schoolchildren:

Jacket
Kate wore a dark green waxed utility jacket featuring gold-tone snap closures and roomy pockets.

It’s her long-worn Barbour Defence jacket (she owns two; I’d say she’s wearing her longer, dark green version here).

You’ll probably remember the Princess wearing the jacket last month, during a visit to Northern Ireland (pictured below)?

The olive-coloured wax jacket is one of Barbour’s signature styles. The coat is crafted from cotton and features four front pockets, a stand collar and a front zipper closure.
Each Defence jacket has been treated with a water-resistant wax finish.
Good news for those wanting to buy a Barbour Defence jacket to see them through the rest of autumn. An ‘updated’ version of the jacket is available. The ‘Winter Defence jacket (RRP £269) is crafted from heavyweight cotton and lined with a warm lining to help protect against the weather on colder days.
Shirt & Sweater:
The princess wore a navy blue shirt underneath her jacket with a navy sweater on top.

Sorry—I can’t tell you anything about the items.
UPDATE: Middleton Maven suggests the Princess is wearing a shirt from With Nothing Underneath. Perhaps, The Boyfriend in blue.

The Princess does own this same shirt in white, so it’s not a crazy guess by any stretch!
We won’t know for certain unless she wears it again.
Trousers
She wore a pair of chocolate brown skinnies with the jacket and shirt.

At first, I thought they were her chocolate brown pair by Massimo Dutti, but with the new images, I’m not so sure.
UPDATE: Middleton Maven suggests they could be the Holland Cooper Chocolate Jodhpur jeans.
Boots
On her feet, the Princess wore dark lace-up ankle boots with a sturdy sole. They’re from See by Chloe.

They’re one of Kate’s hard-working favourites; she’s worn them to more than 15 engagements since 2019. The Princess often relies on this sturdy pair of boots for countryside outings.
Crafted from rich brown suede, the boots strike that perfect balance between practical and polished. The lace-up design is finished with gold-tone eyelets, while the chunky layered sole features a contrasting tan detail that gives the rugged silhouette a softer, more refined edge. A durable rubber outsole with deep tread makes them ideal for forest floors and muddy paths, which explains why Kate reaches for them so often.
The boots originally retailed for around $445 at Net-a-Porter and C$210 at 24S. Sadly, the exact style is no longer available—See by Chloé retired the design years ago.
I do have three RepliKates for you, though. The first, by Kate-worn brand, ME+EM (RRP £395). I think these are such a good match:

The second pair is from Whistles (£185). A brand Kate used to wear a few years back (I don’t think she has worn anything from there recently). Again, they’re a pretty decent ‘RepliKate’.

The third and final pair is great for anybody happy to swap suede for leather (and you might be, if you live in a location with a lot of rain). They’re from House of Bruar – and they’re wool-lined (£129.95).

See by Chloé is the youthful diffusion line of the French house Chloé, created over two decades ago under Stella McCartney.
Hair & styling
The Princess finished her look with hair loose in soft waves, keeping the overall look natural and low-key.
She also wore a pair of gold hoop earrings. I cannot identify them confidently, at present.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoy your work, dear Carly! I can’t imagine how much you put into this, but, I am extremely grateful! As a ‘fashion lover’, as well as a ‘Catherine, Princess of Wales follower’, you nail the information that I want/need every time.
Please keep up your excellent work, if possible.
Oh thanks Donna, that’s so lovely to hear. Lucky for you, we have two more engagements to follow along this week, yay! (And one is a guaranteed gown!)
I absolutely love this website. It’s like a heaven in here for someone who loves Princess Catherine as much as I do. You do an amazing job each and every time. Princess Kate is truly a style icon. But I have to say that her styles since recovering from cancer just don’t give the same energy they used too. The outfits are repetitive and very simple. The colors are all very muted. I think that she needs a new stylist. I absolutely love her fashion from 2019 to 2023 but this year so far is just not working for me. But nothing changes my love for her and every generous thing that she does. Wish the best for her
Do you know, it’s comment like these that keep me going. It means the world to me, thank you.
Unfortunately, I agree re: your take on the colours. This year has been a lot of grey, black and the country greens/browns.
The outfits are indeed repetitive and simple.
I don’t think it’s a mistake, I think she’s doing it on purpose. So the media talk more about her work than her clothing. So things feel ‘fresh’ enough but she’s making it clear that fashion is not her focus.
But the good thing about it is the other LOOKS really pop, the ones where she WANTS to look amazing and she’s happy to be an ambassador for fashion (think tonight’s Royal Variety, State Banquets etc)
Yes, 2019-2023 ish – I know EXACTLY the era you mean.
It’s funny because her stylist did actually leave this year (well her Executive PA, Natasha Archer, it’s said she did handle the wardrobe side of things for Kate though). So I don’t know if Kate’s current looks are due to this, intentionally or not (e.g. she’s working with somebody new and this is what she’s told them she wants to do?)
The Variety Performance event gown was amazing. I love velvet and this color and style look great on her.
And I think you’re absolutely right. She might be doing this on purpose so people would be more focused on her work and charity rather than on her fashion choices. I love her anyway. Thank you so much for writing back to me. You do an amazing job
I am one of your many happy readers, grateful for your attention to detail, timely posts and great insights! I splurged on the Barbour Defense jacket (I have another Barbour jacket of Catherine’s from a few years back) and notice that this new one does not bear the Royal Warrant on the lining any longer. Has Barbour lost its Royal Warrant? (I was hoping to see it updated to King Charles, from the Appointment of HM Queen Elizabeth II…but now it is only the brand’s label, size and no warrant). I do love it and even without rewaxing, my Beadnell jacket is warm and stylish. I really appreciate the RepliKate boots–thank you!
I think Barbour lost its Royal Warrants when Queen Elizabeth died and Charles was no longer POW so they lost that RW too; but now he’s reinstated them as King, I imagine at some point, Barbour will add the RWs back to their labels.

Thank you very much for the lovely compliment.
Thank you! Great Identifications!
Could the shirt be With Nothing Underneath The Classic 100% Oxford in Navy Blue?
Could the sweater be a repeat J.Crew Italian Cashmere Sweater in Heather Midnight?
Could the jeans be Holland and Cooper Jodhpur Jean in Chocolate?
