The Princess of Wales has shared the latest video in her Mother Nature series.

Released across Kensington Palace’s social channels on Saturday, the gentle short film titled ‘Autumn’ follows a group of pupils from Farley Junior Academy in Luton as they cook, explore and connect with nature in Windsor Great Park.
At the heart of the video, the third in the series, is a simple, reflective message about embracing change, letting go, and finding clarity through nature.

Kate joins the children as they plate food, gather around a fire and learn outdoor cooking skills from chef Gill Mellor.

The two-minute film, shot by Will Warr, blends scenes of crackling bonfires and woodland cooking with sweeping cinematic shots from across the UK, including Northern Ireland’s Long Meadow Cider, Mallon Farm, and the golden beech avenues of Windsor.

One scene shows the Princess crouched beside the grill as the group cooks flatbreads over the flames.

In another, she sits on a tree stump in conversation, with a bowl on her lap.

‘Go Beyond’ supported the activity day, the charity provides outdoor experiences for children facing difficult circumstances.

Alongside the video, a note read:
Autumn – a season of reflection, growth and deeper connection. Embrace the beauty found in change, as we prepare for winter’s rest.
The Princess signed the message with her initial, C.

The short film is threaded with Kate’s own narration:
As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into Autumn. This is a season for reflection and refinement.
Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter, just as we too learn to let go of what is no longer needed. Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds, we can find clarity and purpose in what matters most. Encouraging us to simply to pay attention and listen.
With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there is beauty to be found in change, impermanence and in letting go. These are the natural cycles of life. Whilst the blossoms fall and the colours fade, the roots grow deeper. Stronger. Let love be root that holds us, the light that guides us, with hope, through change. Endure.
The message mirrors the theme of the wider ‘Mother Nature’ series, about finding calm, clarity and connection through time spent outside.

The video series shares quarterly instalments that explore a different season and the emotional rhythm it brings—from spring’s renewal to summer’s growth and autumn’s quieter note of letting go. There’s just one final instalment to go—Winter—which I expect the palace will post in Jan/Feb 2026.
The films emphasise Kate’s longstanding message on mental health: that spending time outdoors, especially in childhood, is great for mental health and builds resilience, confidence and a deeper sense of connection.
Let’s move on to discussing Kate’s outfit in the video now.
Kate’s outfit:
For the latest edition of her Mother Nature series, the Princess chose a relaxed, outdoorsy look. The practical, warm outfit was perfectly suited to the autumn day in the woods with schoolchildren:

Jacket
Kate wore a dark green waxed utility jacket featuring gold-tone snap closures and roomy pockets.

It’s her long-worn Barbour Defence jacket (she owns two; I’d say she’s wearing her longer, dark green version here).

You’ll probably remember the Princess wearing the jacket last month, during a visit to Northern Ireland (pictured below)?

The olive-coloured wax jacket is one of Barbour’s signature styles. The coat is crafted from cotton and features four front pockets, a stand collar and a front zipper closure.
Each Defence jacket has been treated with a water-resistant wax finish.
Good news for those wanting to buy a Barbour Defence jacket to see them through the rest of autumn. An ‘updated’ version of the jacket is available. The ‘Winter Defence jacket (RRP £269) is crafted from heavyweight cotton and lined with a warm lining to help protect against the weather on colder days.
Shirt/Sweater:
It looks like the Princess wore a navy blue shirt underneath her jacket. Sorry—I can’t tell you anything about the item.
She might also have added a dark sweater on top—but the video isn’t clear enough for me to say for certain.
Trousers
We can see she wore a pair of chocolate brown skinnies with the jacket and shirt.

They could be the pair she wears from Massimo Dutti, shown below during a visit to Scotland earlier this year:

Kate’s had this pair of skinny trousers in her wardrobe for several years—since at least 2020.
The high-rise skinnies are cut from a smooth, slightly sheeny satin fabric and finished with classic five-pocket styling, belt loops and a logo button fastening.
The rich chocolate shade makes them an easy, versatile option for autumn countryside outings, offering just enough polish while still being practical.
As expected, the trousers are no longer available to buy—the original style retailed for US$69.90.
Kate’s quite the fan of Massimo Dutti—we’ve spotted her in the brand’s coats, trousers and sweaters on many occasions.
Boots
On her feet, the Princess wore dark lace-up ankle boots with a sturdy sole. They’re from See by Chloe.

They’re one of Kate’s hard-working favourites; she’s worn them to more than 15 engagements since 2019. The Princess often relies on this sturdy pair of boots for countryside outings.
Crafted from rich brown suede, the boots strike that perfect balance between practical and polished. The lace-up design is finished with gold-tone eyelets, while the chunky layered sole features a contrasting tan detail that gives the rugged silhouette a softer, more refined edge. A durable rubber outsole with deep tread makes them ideal for forest floors and muddy paths, which explains why Kate reaches for them so often.
The boots originally retailed for around $445 at Net-a-Porter and C$210 at 24S. Sadly, the exact style is no longer available—See by Chloé retired the design years ago.
I do have three RepliKates for you, though. The first, by Kate-worn brand, ME+EM (RRP £395). I think these are such a good match:

The second pair is from Whistles (£185). A brand Kate used to wear a few years back (I don’t think she has worn anything from there recently). Again, they’re a pretty decent ‘RepliKate’.

The third and final pair is great for anybody happy to swap suede for leather (and you might be, if you live in a location with a lot of rain). They’re from House of Bruar – and they’re wool-lined (£129.95).

See by Chloé is the youthful diffusion line of the French house Chloé, created over two decades ago under Stella McCartney.
Hair & styling
The Princess finished her look with hair loose in soft waves, keeping the overall look natural and low-key.
She also wore a pair of gold hoop earrings. I cannot identify them confidently, at present.
