On the 12th of February 2021, the Palace released a video of the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) speaking with the Founder of the Little Village charity and two of the mums they’ve supported. For the Zoom call (which took place during a national lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19), the Duchess wore a cream jumper/sweater from L.K. Bennett. The piece featured contrasting navy blue detailing on the collar and cuffs. The style name is ‘Liv‘ and the piece cost £125 GBP.
About L.K Bennett’s Liv Jumper:
L.K. Bennett call their Liv sweater a “simple knit” with a “retro feel” thanks to its 1970s-inspired collar. It’s made from a soft cotton and a merino wool blend fabric. It features contrasting navy blue stitching along the collar, cuffs and front placket. The neckline is finished with six navy blue buttons.
Buying Kate’s sweater:
The Kate effect strikes again! As you may expect, the sweater sold out quickly after she was spotted wearing it. Try searching eBay—Sellers regularly list new and used versions of items Kate’s worn on the auction site!
Dress version:
If you love the seventies styling, try L.K. Bennett’s navy blue ‘Liv’ dress. It features contrasting cream detailing, including the same stitching on the collar, cuffs and placket as Kate’s sweater. The dress has a flattering fit and flare silhouette. Buy it from L.K. Bennett, Next or John Lewis for £195.
Kate Middleton wearing L.K. Bennett:
L.K. Bennett is probably one of Kate’s most-worn brands. It’d take hours to count up every time she’s worn the brand. But from dresses to coats to shoes to clutch bags—she’s owned many pieces over the years. Here’s a small selection of some of our favourite pieces:
