Kate Middleton wore the Jenny Packham Goldfinger Gown to the James Bond No Time To Die film premiere in September 2021. She looked stunning in the sequinned gold dress.
Kate’s red carpet walk was show-stopping moment for fans, we hadn’t seen her wear anything quite so glamorous in 18 months due to the pandemic. So, after months of Zoom calls and the odd outdoor engagement, this was a real departure—and a treat! She was back with a bang and looked stunning in her glittering gold gown.
I’ve blogged about Kate’s style for over a decade now and can count on one hand how many times the world has collectively stopped to gasp at one of her beautiful gowns. This was one of those occasions. Her shimmering gold dress was exquisite! She looked every inch the princess!
We saw the gown for a second time on New Year’s Eve 2021. To mark the festive occasion, Kensington Palace released a previously unseen photograph of William and Kate in the car, either on their way to or way back from the premiere. The picture features the loved-up couple sitting together and smiling, with Kate’s wearing the gold sequin dress.
About Kate’s gold dress:
The gold metallic gown features dramatic shoulder detailing and a floaty cape. The piece is covered in shimmering sequins on a base of glitter tulle.
Note: Kate wears a bespoke version of the gown, created for her at Jenny Packham’s atelier. It differs slightly from the ready-to-wear version pictured on this page. Kate’s gown featured a modest neckline and more embellishments/crystal detailing.
Jenny Packham x 007 Collection:
Jenny Packham designed the gold cape gown for a special 007- themed capsule collection in collaboration with EON Productions, the film company behind the James Bond Movies.
The glamorous gold gown is named after the James Bond Goldfinger film. The dress was inspired by the famous scene where Jill Masterson gets covered in gold paint.
