On the 29th of September 2021, the Duchess of Cambridge visited Derry-Londonderry wearing a purple suit. The Palace confirmed it was designed by Emilia Wickstead. Here’s a look at it on the runway:
Emilia Wickstead sent the purple suit down the runway in her Autumn-Winter 2021 show but she does not currently offer it as part of her ready-to-wear collection. We’re assuming Kate commissioned the suit after seeing it in a lookbook or similar. You can, however, buy the designer’s Dida jacket (£1,345) and Gus trousers (£800) in both grey and houndstooth.
Emilia Wickstead describes the double-breasted Dida blazer as “softly tailored to offer a structured yet ultimately feminine silhouette”.

The piece features defined shoulders, welted pockets, peak lapels and self-covered buttons across the front and at the cuffs. It’s made from a mid-weight wool flannel fabric and features a silk-acetate mix lining.
Emilia Wickstead say the Gus trousers’s “precision construction and tailored finish” offer “a universally flattering fit.” The trousers feature a high-rise silhouette with stitched waist pleats and a tapered leg that creates a relaxed fit.
