Kate took country-chic to a whole new level on Christmas morning by sporting this new brown checked blazer by Blazé Milano paired with a feather-adorned fedora by Philip Treacy. In photographs shot through a car window, the Duchess can be seen wearing the stylish ensemble. The five royals were on their way to a festive service at St Mary Magdalene church. Hello! magazine carries a full article on the sighting.
I’ve created a side-by-side image of the checked fabric (on the blazer and on Kate) for comparison purposes. It’s not perfect but you get the idea:
About the blazer:
The Lahloo is an 80s inspired blazer featuring structured shoulders, a cinched waist and double-breasted tailoring. It’s made from breathable wool and features a navy windowpane check. The blazer features Blazé Milano’s signature curved pockets. I believe the piece is from the label’s pre-fall 2021 collection.
Like many of the pieces Kate added to her wardrobe in 2021, the brown checked blazer has ‘green credentials,’ Blazé Milano is working towards sustainability, partnering with the Green Future Project and taking steps to reduce the impact of their activities on the planet. They are planting a tree for every sale they receive.
Buying the brown check blazer:
Moda Operandi and Net A Porter both stocked the piece ($1,805 / $1,245 respectively.) Sadly, it’s now sold out at both stores.
If you like the style of the blazer and don’t mind another colour, you might be pleased to know there are a myriad of different options. Shown below at Net-A-Porter:
