20 May 2025—The Princess of Wales attended a Buckingham Palace Garden Party.
It was the Princess’s first garden party following a two-year hiatus, due to her cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Alongside Prince William and other senior royals, Kate hosted the event—personally greeting many of the guests, including Holocaust survivor Steven Frank, with whom she shared a touching reunion and the family of the late Liz Hatton, the teenage photographer she met last year.

Kate channelled the sunshine in a butter‑yellow Emilia Wickstead dress. It’s a repeat, originally worn at the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
The Princess accessorised with a cream raffia hat by Philip Treacy, which featured a cheery yellow rosette (a hat she debuted at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018).
She finished the look with her Gianvito Rossi ‘Ribbon’ slingback pumps and the Forever New Lily woven raffia clutch.
Jewellery-wise, Kate showcased the diamond “oak leaf and acorn” drop earrings by Robinson Pelham—originally gifted by her parents and worn on her 2011 wedding day.
