Despite the horrible weather this morning (28th February 2018), William, Kate, Harry and Meghan managed to attend the first annual Royal Foundation Forum at the Aviva Offices in London.
It was the foursome’s first joint Royal engagement and their first public appearance together since Christmas.
The forum, titled ‘Making a Difference Together’, showcased programmes run or initiated by The Royal Foundation, including Heads Together, the Invictus Games and United for Wildlife.
Regular readers will know about The Royal Foundation, but here’s a quick summary for anybody new to this blog:
Launched in 2011, The Royal Foundation was set up by The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry as the main vehicle to pursue their charitable and philanthropic interests. For the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry especially, they have been inspired by the causes championed by their parents and other Members of the Royal Family, and their constant commitment to charity.

Kate joined The Royal Foundation as Patron after marrying Prince William. Meghan will join the organisation in a few months:

The three royals and royal-to-be Meghan took to the stage to discuss The Royal Foundation, to speak about why it was set up, talk about the projects they’re currently working on and discuss their ambitions for the future.
William, Harry and Kate also delivered speeches to the assembled delegates.
Here’s an excerpt of Kate’s speech:
Since our roles are lifetime roles, our commitment to the work we do through The Foundation is genuinely long-term. The work we do can, and should, have a long-lasting resonance. For this reason, we are able to support causes which we’re passionate about for decades into the future. Rather than just for a few months or years. — Royal.uk

Kate’s outfit:
Kate chose to wear blue for the second day running.
She’s wearing the Séraphine Maternity “Royal Blue Maternity Tailored Dress”. You may recall Kate wore the dress during an engagement at Roe Green Junior school while launching a mental health website resource last month.
The dress is made from a premium stretch woven fabric. It’s cut in an A-line shape, with gold buttons under the bust.
Here’s how Séraphine describe the dress on their website:
Cut for an elegant A-line shape and draping beautifully to the knee, this dress will take you from the office to a stylish cocktail party. Made in premium stretch woven fabric, it will adapt to your growing curves throughout your pregnancy.
The dress will be available for purchase in late March 2018. It will retail for £99.
Kate wore a new pair of earrings. They’re currently unidentified.
She also wore a pair of suede heels. It’s currently unclear which pair. They appear to be black, but they do look blue in other photos from today.
Kate brought a clutch bag to the forum, which she placed by her side. I’d guess it’s her Muse bag by Stuart Weitzman. Again, it’s difficult to tell whether it’s black or blue. Kate owns it in both colours.
If you’re wondering about Meghan’s outfit, the former actress chose a navy blue dress by Jason Wu. It’s the designer’s crepe back satin belted wrap dress. You can view it here at Nordstrom and at Net-A-Porter.com.
