On the 20th December 2017, William and Kate attended the Queen’s Pre-Christmas Luncheon at Buckingham Palace in London.
They were joined by their two children, George and Charlotte.
About the Luncheon, via the Express:
The Queen throws the traditional festive knees-up at Buckingham Palace every year to ensure she sees relatives who are not invited to Sandringham on December 25.
This year’s event … will be attended by at least 50 Royals including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as relatives lower down the pecking order such as Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Kate’s outfit:
Kate chose a black cape by Zara. It’s the company’s ‘Long Cloth Cape’.
Here’s how it’s described at Zara:
Long cloth cape with round neckline, side vents, back pleat and lined button fastening at the neck.
It’s available on the company’s website in black and caramel for $149 USD.
Kate added a faux fur collar to the cape. It appears to be the black Faux Fur Tippet from Jigsaw.
The company described the collar as a “beautifully soft piece” with a “pretty velvet ribbon closure and full lining”.
It looks like Kate’s wearing her Goat Eloise tunic dress underneath the cape (just guessing from the colour).
She first wore the tunic dress in November when she attended the Place2Be forum.
A huge thank you to Susan from WhatKateWore.com. I would not have been able to compile this post without her blog. I’m away visiting family, so I had to rely on her site for help.
