Kate Middleton joined Prince William at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for the Wales vs England Six Nations rugby match on Saturday evening.
The Princess of Wales wore a navy coat and black boots for the match, which saw the England team win 68-14.
The Prince and Princess both attended the rugby match as Patrons of the respective teams. Prince William became Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union in 2016.
The Princess became Patron of the England team in 2022, taking over the role from Prince Harry after he stepped back from royal duties.
Before the match began, William and Kate met with injured players and their families, supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
Established in 1972, the trust offers essential support to severely injured rugby players in Wales, providing them a welcoming space at home games and organising annual family-focused events.
The visit took place in the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite, a space where injured players can spend time with their families ahead of matches.
The dedicated space is named after Sir Tasker Watkins—a welsh war hero awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery in World War II, who went on to become a distinguished lawyer and Lord Justice of Appeal for England and Wales. We also served as President of the Welsh Rugby Union between 1994-2003.
The visit to the Cardiff stadium builds upon William and Kate’s continued support for Welsh communities. The pair attended an engagement in Pontypridd earlier this month (below), where they learned about the community’s recovery efforts following severe flooding.
