Kate Middleton owns the Temperley London Eclipse dress in blue lace.
The Princess debuted the Temperley London dress at a reception marking World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2017, alongside Princes William and Harry at Buckingham Palace. The event celebrated the work of mental health professionals across the UK.
She hasn’t worn the blue lace dress again since—but I’m thinking this is a possible contender for a future appearance. Perhaps for another evening reception? It still fits Kate’s current aesthetic, with the modest, refined look that she’s known for.
About the blue lace dress:
This elegant powder blue dress exudes femininity with its intricate lace detailing. The design showcases a high neckline with a contrasting black velvet tie feature, complemented by black trimmings on the cuffs and placket.
The cinched waist gives way to a slightly flared midi skirt, which is pleated and spliced with cotton-voile panels.
The dress is from Temperley London’s Fall 2017 collection. According to the designer, she was inspired by ‘Elizabethan and Baroque portraits of ladies wearing high necklines and ruffles’.
Buying the Temperley London dress:
As the dress is from an older season, it’s no longer in stock.
I have found a few listings on eBay though, see them here.
Kate Middleton and Temperley London:
Kate’s stepped out in Temperley London pieces on several occasions. The brand’s elegant, ethereal designs seem to align well with the Princess’s sartorial choices. While it’s not her go-to label, she’s opted for Temperley at various public appearances.
