In June 2011, Kate attended Prince Philip’s 90th birthday meal at The Waterside Inn in Bray, Berkshire. She was photographed wearing a coral coloured dress by Stella McCartney.
The dress featured a rose and bow detail on the high neckline, long sleeves and an above-knee pencil skirt. A pleated panel ran down the front.
The dress was listed on BrownsFashion.com. This is how it was described at the time:
Coral coloured pleated pencil dress. A rose and bow detail sits on the high neck. A zip fastening runs down the back. Long sleeves. A pleated panel runs down the front of the dress. High waist. The hemline falls to the knee. This stunning dress by Stella McCartney in a stylish hue works for day or night with statement heels and accessories, as seen on Madonna.
Kate purchased the dress in March 2011:
Back in 2011, Grazia posted an article stating that Kate purchased the coral silk dress from Stella McCartney’s SS09 collection. Madonna wore to the same dress to the amFAR gala in Cannes.
Kate purchased the dress in the sale for £305. It originally retailed for £1,425.
Archie’s Christening:
Kate wore a second version of the dress for Archie’s christening in July 2019. The dress appears identical, except it’s made from a different type of fabric.
