Kate Middleton owns a red and white silk dress by Rodarte, featuring a romantic heart-and-dot print design.

The Princess debuted the dress at a Cancer Research UK reception on 2nd of June 2026, held at St James’s Palace. The event marked the charity’s 125th anniversary.
This is the only time we’ve seen Kate wear the piece, to date, and it marked her first outing in a Rodarte design, too.
About the dress:
The Rodarte Printed Silk Twill Midi Dress is cut from soft red silk twill and features a heart print design.

It features a white silk crepe de chine notched collar and matching band cuffs, with a hand-moulded silk flower corsage at the neckline, which can be removed.
The dress also has puffed sleeves, a waist-cinching fabric belt and an elasticated waistband to nip in the silhouette.
Below the waist, the yoke circle skirt falls to mid-calf and creates a graceful, swishing movement with each step.
Each dress is crafted from 100% silk and is made in the USA.
Where can I buy Kate’s dress?
The Rodarte Printed Silk Twill Midi Dress is still available to purchase from MyTheresa.com.

A good range of sizes was available at the time of writing.
Net-A-Porter also stocks the print in minidress form, in limited sizes.
The midi also comes in a black colourway with a red heart print, too.
Kate Middleton and Rodarte:
As far as I can tell, this is the first time Kate has ever worn Rodarte.
It’s a notable choice: Rodarte is an American label, and the Princess overwhelmingly favours British designers for her public engagements. I do wonder if this is a hint about a rumoured overseas visit next month (it’s been suggested that the Princess will visit the United States in July).
That said, the dress sits comfortably within her wardrobe. The retro, feminine shape, the contrast collar, the puffed sleeves, the playful print— reads very much like the vintage-inspired pieces she so often chooses from Alessandra Rich. It’s very ‘Kate’.
About Rodarte:
Rodarte is an American fashion house founded in 2005 by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, based in Los Angeles.
The label is known for its romantic, intricate and highly artistic designs, and has become a fixture on the red carpet and at the major awards ceremonies.
The Mulleavys built their reputation on a soft, painterly femininity — delicate prints, fine silks and hand-finished detailing — which makes the heart-print silk twill dress a quintessential Rodarte piece.
