In February 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) opened Ronald McDonald House at Evelina London’s Children’s Hospital. She wore a blue tweed jacket and matching skirt by New Zealand born designer, Rebecca Taylor.
In February 2021, the Duchess wore the blue tweed ensemble again. This time for a Zoom video conference call with teachers from Ribbon Academy in County Durham to mark Children’s Mental Health Week:
Rebecca Taylor sold the jacket as part of her ready-to-wear collection. We’re unsure about the skirt underneath. That didn’t appear in the same collection, so could be a custom piece created especially for Kate.
About the blue tweed jacket:
Loosely structured, this tweed jacket blends feminine details with classic style. Concealed snap front with spilt collar, patch pockets, ruffle hem and frayed finish throughout – all with a hint of sparkle. Pair with skinny jeans and a tank to elevate your casual style; or wear with a silk blouse and skirt for a work function.
