The Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) co-hosted a reception for the UK-Africa Investment Summit at Buckingham Palace on the 20th of January 2020. For the evening event, she wore a long red sequin dress by British brand, Needle & Thread.
On the night, Kate wore a customised version of Needle & Thread’s Aurora Gown from the Resort 2020 collection. Kate had the skirt of the floor-length gown shortened, to skim just above the ankle. Later, Needle & Thread released the shortened version on their site, named the Aurora Ballerina Dress.
