On the 24th of May 2021, the Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband in Scotland for a short tour. The Royal couple visited a number of projects in North Lanarkshire, East Lothian and Edinburgh on their first day. Kate wore a bright blue outfit, Scotland’s national colour and the colour of their flag. Her blue pleated skirt is by a British brand called Hope.
About the skirt:
This bold-coloured pleated skirt features a contrast asymmetric hem. The upper section is made from polyester sateen which has a silk-like softness while the lower section is made from polyester georgette. This gives a semi-sheer finish to the hemline. The piece has an elasticated waist for added comfort and comes in three sizes: slim, curvy and super curvy. It is made in Italy.
In addition to cobalt blue, the skirt also comes in “Sunset Orange” with a “Peach Sorbet contrast hem”.
Buying Kate’s blue pleated skirt:
At the time of writing, the skirt retails for £95. It is available for pre-order with delivery in early June.
This skirt weighs absolutely nothing, it’s gossamer fine and hangs beautifully. The colour is amazing and the two fabrics really complement each other, the top part is fully opaque and the asymetrical [sic] bottom half is semi sheer so the outline of the bottom half of your legs is hinted at – it’s a beautiful wispy piece and is a joy to wear.
