Kate Middleton owns the DeMellier Small Hudson handbag in mocha brown suede.

Kate first carried the Small Hudson on the 27th November 2025, during a visit to the Anna Freud Centre for an engagement focused on children’s mental health (pictured above). The compact, structured bag complemented her polished daytime look.

She carried the bag almost a month later, attending the Christmas Day Service at Sandringham. The bag’s rich brown suede added warmth and texture to her festive ensemble.

Most recently, Kate carried the Small Hudson on the 8th January 2026, during a visit to Charing Cross Hospital (pictured below).

About Kate’s DeMellier Small Hudson
The Small Hudson is the most petite iteration of DeMellier’s bestselling Hudson family.

Kate’s version is crafted from mocha brown suede. The design features a top handle, a removable crossbody strap, and DeMellier’s signature gold-tone bar and clasp detail across the front.

Its clean lines and compact proportions make it practical for engagements where Kate needs just the essentials, while still maintaining a refined, architectural look.
Is the bag still available to buy?
Yes. The DeMellier Small Hudson is currently available to pre-order directly from the brand, priced at £415, with delivery scheduled for later in the season.

For those who prefer a larger handbag, DeMellier also offers the Hudson in two bigger sizes:
- The Hudson — the largest size and one of the brand’s bestselling styles
- The Midi Hudson — a slightly more compact version of the bestseller (shown below in tan)

These options offer the same signature design details in proportions better suited to everyday or work use.
Kate’s DeMellier collection
Kate owns three handbags by DeMellier in total, including the Small Hudson.
Her collection also includes two Nano Montreal styles, in Toffee and Navy.
