In June 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) attended the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London. She debuted a new pink dress by Alexander McQueen.

It was a bespoke dress, modelled on a piece from the designer’s AW16 collection (see below). The company added sleeves and a longer length skirt for Kate.

FarFetch.com described the garment as a “pleated skirt skater dress” while Neiman Marcus stocked the blue version and described it as a “sleeveless paperbag-waist mini dress.” Both dresses were made from a silk-wool blend fabric.
