Kate steps out in Stella McCartney for Prince Philip’s 90th

On Sunday night Kate attended prince Philip’s 90th birthday meal, held at the three Michelin-starred restaurant The Waterside Inn, at Bray, Berkshire.

Kate was photographed wearing this coral coloured Stella McCartney dress:

The pink/red dress has a rose and bow detail on the high neck; it features long sleeves and a pencil skirt, with a pleated panel running down the front.

Coral coloured pleated pencil dress. A rose and bow detail sits on the high neck. A zip fastening runs down the back. Long sleeves. A pleated panel runs down the front of the dress. High waist. The hemline falls to the knee. This stunning dress by Stella McCartney in a stylish hue works for day or night with statement heels and accessories, as seen on Madonna.

Kate purchased the dress in March 2011:

Grazia posted an article on March 23rd stating that Kate purchased a coral silk dress from Stella McCartney’s S/S’09 collection – the very same dress that Madonna wore to the amFAR gala in Cannes.  Kate has obviously saved the dress for a special occasion.

Kate purchased the dress, on sale for £305.  It originally sold for £1,425.

A massive thank you to Leisa on What Kate Wore’s Facebook page for identifying this dress!

Steal Kate Middleton's style:

  1. I think everybody agreed this outfit wasn’t the happiest choice for Kate but, having seen it on her now, I feel like I *desperately* need a coral dress in my wardrobe, somethink which I’d never even take into consideration before…
So I found some high street versions but I’m not sure which one is nicer; with your taste for fashion and eye for similarities, would you give me advice?
