Kate Middleton Wears a Cowboy Hat in New Photograph Supporting England’s Red Roses

The Princess of Wales shared a rare personal message on social media this morning, posting a heartfelt ‘good luck’ note to England’s Red Roses ahead of today’s Women’s Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham.

Alongside the message, Kensington Palace released a striking new photograph of the Princess wearing a cowboy hat, standing alongside Red Roses Megan Jones, Ellie Kildunne and Jess Breach in the England changing room.

The playful accessory caught fans by surprise! Especially as the red hat was decorated with a sparkling silver tiara!

Here’s Kate’s message in full:

Good luck England! 🌹🤠 Wishing the very best of luck to the @RedRosesRugby in their Women’s Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham today. We’re so proud of you! C

The Princess, who is patron of the Rugby Football Union, signed off the message personally with a simple “C.”

The image was captured earlier this month in Brighton, after England’s victory over Australia.

Regular readers will remember that I shared Kate’s suit from the ruby match in this post, and photographs of the Princess meeting the team following the match and joining in the celebrations.
