In April 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) attended the opening night of the musical 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. She debuted a beautiful burgundy red dress by Marchesa Notte.
About Kate’s Marchesa Notte dress:
Kate’s dress features a midi-length tulle skirt, cap sleeves and crystals at the waist. Lattice and rosette detailing decorates the top layer. The dress has a sweetheart neckline, flexible boning and a full, layered skirt.
We think Kate’s dress is custom-made because it is slightly different to the ready-to-wear versions stocked at FarFetch.com and Net-A-Porter.com. Kate’s dress features slightly longer sleeves. (See below). Also, the dresses at FarFetch.com (centre) and Net-A-Porter.com (right) feature different hemlines. The FarFetch.com dress appears slightly shorter in length and has a rougher, unfinished hem. Kate’s hemline appears to be identical to the Net-A-Porter version.
Where to buy Kate’s dress:
FarFetch.com have limited stock still available. The dress retails for $1,195 USD.
