On the 1st of November 2021, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) visited the Clyde Scouts in Glasgow, Scotland. The visit took place as part of COP26, the United Nations climate change summit being hosted in the same city. The visit was to highlight the Scouts’ Promise To The Planet campaign, which aims to teach 57 million Scouts how to lead more environmentally friendly lives. Kate shone a spotlight on sustainable fashion by wearing this quilted jacket by Ganni, the piece is made 100% recycled polyester, a responsible material. The recycled polyester reduces dependence on petroleum as a raw material and can divert plastic from ending up in landfill.
The sleeveless vest features a collar, two buttoned flap pockets with box pleats, silver-toned hardware, a drawstring waistband for a flattering silhouette, tonal stitching, slips sides and a curved hem.
