On the 19th of September 2019, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) visited Evelina London’s Sunshine House in Peckham, London to learn more about the Family Nurse Partnership. For the visit, she wore a polka dot shirt by French brand, Equipment.
Kate’s worn the spotty shirt twice since. Once in February 2020, during a visit to Ireland and most recently in March 2021, for a video chat with the SHOUT 85258 charity.
Here’s everything we know about the piece:
About Kate’s polka dot shirt:
The shirt is from Equipment’s ‘Slim Fit’ range. It maintains all of the classic elements of the company’s Classic blouse style but with a slightly more fitted cut.
The shirt features two double chest pockets, a button-down front, a spread collar, long sleeves, button cuffs, a back yoke with box pleat and a shirttail hem.
Equipment crafted the shirt from 100% silk fabric dyed in a colour they call ‘Eclipse’. The shade appears to be somewhere between black and midnight blue depending on the lighting. The small polka dots are described as ‘brilliant white’.
The silk blouse also came in a second colourway, Safari with Nature White polka dots:
About Equipment:
