I hope all is well.
Catherine was very engaged at this event. I watched a video and am impressed by how she conducts herself with the crowds and the organizers of the event. She doesn’t seem to miss acknowledging anyone in the room or outside. I don’t think this looks easy in a busy environment. Several times I have read Kate has lovely manners and it shows.
Kate looks nice, but I think the dress is a bit pricey for a day dress.
Today is H&M’s 5th wedding anniversary and it reminded me that Kate had her third baby less than four weeks before the wedding that was watched around the world. How she showed up looking great still impresses me.

I guess she also has this dress in white, with black buttons. I once wondered why Kate purchased multiples of the same design, but apparently I now understand it because when I’m sewing garments and find a pattern that is a favorite I make multiples, too. This dress, and the white one, are silk crepe lined in silk. Must be a dream to wear, I would think. When she wore the white one with a black belt from McQueen, it was especially attractive. I think she wore these same shoes with that as well and the ensemble was fantastic.
This green dress is fine, but not a real favorite for me. I suppose it’s because of the hue or maybe that she has a lot of other green dresses and that makes me wonder ‘what is the point’. I also don’t think I’d pair those shoes with it, I would have found something else to accentuate the green color of the dress. The shoes are nice, I just don’t think they work here. What is funny is on the designer’s website they say this style is inspired by a 1940s “wiggle” dress. I guess they neglected to Google “Wiggle Dress”, because this looks nothing like that vintage silhouette!
Hope all is well, and that you and your readers have a very enjoyable weekend!!
