Kate wears Whistles pieces to the Inner-City Arts Project, LA

During William and Kate’s Royal Tour of Canada and the USA, the royal couple paid a visit to the Inner-City Arts Project in downtown Los Angeles.  The project is an “oasis” where children can learn art, photography, music, dance and more.

During the visit, William and Kate watched the children preform, plus they indulged in a spot of painting and put their handprints in some clay:

Kate’s outfit:

Kate wore a pleated white skirt with a navy blue crochet top, both from Whistles.

The navy blue crochet top dates back several years, it was from the brand’s 2007 Pre-Fall collection.   Here’s a look at the top being sold second hand from an eBay auction:

Kate’s white/ivory skirt was also by British brand Whistles, it is called the “Lina Dobby Pleat Skirt“.  The piece was very popular after Kate wore it, and it quickly sold out.

The skirt is still listed on Whistles’ website, though no longer available for sale.  Here’s how the brand describe the piece:

Kate wore a pair of navy blue suede pumps,  thought to be by Alexander McQueen.

The Duchess also wore a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings, speculated to be a gift, refashioned from pieces that were in Princess Diana’s private collection.  You can read more about that by clicking here.

Kate carried her Stuart Wetizman Muse (also known as “Raz”) clutch bag too.  She owns the bag in a nude croc print-style fabric.  The image below is from a more recent collection, and shown only for reference:

Kate wore two pieces of silver jewellery.  First, a small necklace with a sparkling cross pendant.  Anna from My Small Obsessions believes the piece is from an old Tiffany & Co. collection.  She recalls Kate’s mother Carole wearing an identical necklace on several occasions.

Kate’s bracelet is by Tiffany & Co.  It is the “Diamonds by the Yard” design from the Elsa Peretti collection.  The bracelet is made from stirling silver and it features three round .09 carat diamonds, which “catch the light and make it dance” according to the brand.

Steal Kate Middleton's style:

  1. That top is going to be hard to emulate. But this black one is sort of similar.

  2. Or this one.
