After this morning’s visit to the mosque and luncheon, Kate and William attended a Diamond Jubilee tea party at the British High Commissioner’s residence. The High Commission held a photography contest prior to the royal visit and two lucky winners were able to attend the event to meet William and Kate.
There were a number of high profile guests at the party, including Malaysian-Chinese designer Jimmy Choo. Kate has worn a number of pairs of Jimmy Choo in the past, including the Vamp, the Cosmic, the Lovely and as recently as yesterday the Dart. Jimmy Choo no longer has links with the company he started, but when asked by reporters if he’d like to design for Kate, he replied, “‘who wouldn’t? She is the style icon of her generation”.
Also at the tea party was Malaysian singer, songwriter, record producer, television presenter and businesswomen Siti Nurhaliza. She was able to meet Kate and have her photo taken, here’s the photo of the two together:
Don’t they both look gorgeous?! You can clearly see that Kate is wearing an ice blue lace dress in the photo.
Here’s a better look at Kate and the dress from The Daily Mail’s Rebecca English:
As you can see in the photo above, Kate’s hair is still tied up in a chic up-do, but this time there’s been an addition of tiny pearl pins.
The ‘Ready to Wear’ version of the Temperley Aster Flower dress features a boat neckline, metallic embroidery, sheer sleeves, a flared skirt and a pure silk lining. The dress is retailing in Harrods for £1,550.00.
As you can see, Kate opted for a lighter colour palette, customising the dress to make it more suitable for the heat, occasion and location. She opted for cool white lace overlay on an icy blue sheath.
With many thanks to Facebook friend Lurdes who found this dress on Harrods website.
Kate is wearing the same accessories as this morning. Her shoes and handbag are her signature L.K. Bennett pieces. Click the images below for more details:
