April 29th is a very special day for two different reasons:
- It marks Will & Kate’s second wedding anniversary
- IT’S THE LAUNCH OF THE BABY CAMBRIDGE FUNDRAISER!
Today, we launch the Baby Cambridge Fundraiser, a collaborative project between five bloggers who enjoy following William and Kate, and who wanted to do something meaningful to celebrate the birth of the royal couple’s first child.
With the Baby Cambridge Fundraiser, we hope to raise several thousand pounds over the next three months for EACH, a charity you’ll recognise though Kate, who is patron. The timing is no coincidence either, we have launched this specifically to coincide with National Children’s Hospice Week. We picked the charity EACH because they provide exceptional care to children with life threatening conditions, and support for their families.
You can hear Kate talking about Children’s Hospice Week in this video:
How you can get involved & help:
We thought it would be fantastic if, along with our followers and friends, we could could celebrate the upcoming arrival of one child by helping others in need.
This fundraiser is going to be very exciting – we’re not just going to spend all summer asking you to donate to charity! Oh, no no…! We have planned a bunch of really exciting competitions, giveaways, raffles and auction lots to give you, our blog readers, something exciting to participate in.
We can’t legally ask you to donate before you enter each different activity over the coming weeks (apparently that’s considered a ‘lottery’), BUT we’d absolutely LOVE it if you could find a spare couple of pounds, dollars, euros (or whatever your currency!) to give to EACH over the course of the summer, especially if you’ve had fun participating with us. Your donations will mean the world to us, and they will make such a difference to others too.
We hope that you’ll have loads of fun in the coming weeks and join us in supporting this really worthwhile cause – all in celebration of baby Cambridge.
Click the button below to be taken to Just Giving, where you can donate in many different currencies: British pounds, US dollars, euros, Hong Kong dollars, Singapore dollars, Canadian dollars, United Arab Emirates dirham and Australian dollars. Just Giving is very secure – it’s a popular site used worldwide and I’ve personally used it to raise money and donated funds through it on many, many occasions. You can donate via credit or debit card, or just PayPal to donate. Even £1, $1 or €1 would be appreciated!
UK residents can also text: RBCF61 (£ amount, £2 minimum) and send it to 70070, and the funds will automatically go to the fundraiser.
