The couple will shine further light on the area of mental health, focussing on suicide prevention specifically. Today (Friday October 23rd 2015) William and Kate visited the city of Dundee in Scotland.  As many of you will know, William and Kate are titled as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn in Scotland.  I’ll be referring to them as Earl and Countess instead of Duke and Duchess throughout this article. On the 8th of November 2014, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Valero Pembroke Refinery in West Wales. #458621354 / gettyimages.com The Pembrokeshire oil refinery employs 1,200 people from the local area and was opened by the Queen Mother in 1964.  This year, the refinery is celebrating it’s 50th birthday.  It’s reported that the refinery contributes £1.5 million to the Welsh economy each week. Kate visits Shooting Star House Hospice

On December 6th 2013, The Duchess of Cambridge visited  Shooting Star House, a children’s hospice located in Hampton, Middlesex. During her visit, Kate met children with life-limiting conditions and their families, plus staff and volunteers on duty. She chatted to several girls and boys with series illnesses and hugged one of the three young girls that presented her with a posy of flowers. Back in November 2012, Kate and William visited their “Dukedom” for the first time.  They visited the city of Cambridge to meet the mayor and representatives from a number of local charities. On February 21st 2012, Kate visited special art therapy rooms set up by The Art Room charity at two schools in Oxford. Kate is Patron of The Art Room Charity. First, Kate visited Rose Hill Primary School in Oxford where eight children were working on the Edward Lear poem, "The Owl And The Pussycat". On 25th December 2011, the newlywed Duchess of Cambridge spent her first traditional Christmas with William and the Royal Family. Kate wears olive green Ralph Lauren dress for Centrepoint visit

In December 2011, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited homeless charity Centrepoint, which is based in London.  Prince William is a patron of the charity, as was his late mother, Princess Diana.
