In June 2011, Kate attended the Epsom Derby, along with husband William and other members of the Royal Family, including the Queen. The outing followed the royal couple’s honeymoon, just over a month after their wedding day.
At the time, the Daily Mail noted this was the biggest public gathering of the Royal Family since Kate and William’s wedding in April. Kate looked absolutely stunning, wearing a white coat and dress that looked fabulous with her natural holiday tan:
Dress: Reiss – Peacock dress in white
Jacket: Joseph – Nessie jacket in white
Clutch: L.K. Bennett – Natalie clutch in straw
Hat: Whiteley – 434/318 hat in cappuccino
Earrings: Kiki McDonough – Citrine drop earrings
Shoes: L.K. Bennett – Sledge Pump in Taupe
About Kate’s hat:
I have received confirmation that Kate’s hat at the Epsom Derby was made by hat company Whiteley:
The hat is called “434/318” and my source believes Kate purchased the hat from Fenwick’s of Bond Street. I have also been told that Kate wore one of Whiteleys hats to a friend’s wedding in February. The hat is from the current Spring 2011 Whiteley range, and is made from Parisisal straw.
Kate chose the hat in the “Cappuccino” colour. Whiteleys have recently delivered more of this colour as well as Black, Navy and Linen versions to Fenwick of Bond Street, London.
