Yesterday, Duchess Kate visited the National Maritime Museum to meet with Olympic sailer Ben Ainslie and learn more about the bid to enter a British team into the 35th annual America’s Cup competition. Within minutes of Kate stepping out of her car at the Museum, the remaining stock of the Jaeger dress Kate was wearing had totally sold out. Here’s a reminder of her outfit:
White Crepe Dress with Navy Trim • Jaeger • $250
Blue Suede Pumps • Alexander McQueen • $660
Muse / Raz Clutch Bag • Stuart Weitzman • $410
Woodland Charms • Asprey London • into the $1000s!
(Some prices estimated and / or converted roughly into dollars)
The British brand have said they’re hoping to re-release the dress, but if you can’t wait, or the price tag is just too high for you, why not give one of these three options a try instead?
The first is quite a casual option, with a navy blue and white cotton dress, blue suede pumps, a blue clutch and gold acorn necklace.
The second is a white jacquard fabric dress with black piping, black suede heels, black clutch and silver acorn charm pendant.
The third option is one for the UK ladies, this dress from F+F is perfect! The acorn necklace is lovely, a steal from John Lewis and the Mint Velvet pumps are a personal favourite of mine:
F&F Limited Edition Cut-Out Back Shift Dress • F&F • £35.00
Estella Bartlett Secret Garden Acorn Pendant, Silver • £16.00
